TREE lab students went out on a limb with a retreat at Cedar Point to celebrate the end of the school year. Lab members took the opportunity to branch out and brave thrilling rides as well as enjoy the park’s food and festivities!

Rohini presented on solar energy to local middle school students as part of the Investigate Lab activity at UM’s Museum of Natural History. The presentation included demonstrations that showcased the conversion of light energy into electrical energy.

PhD student Fernando Villavicencio recently attended Science Night at Bishop Elementary School in Ypsilanti, MI where he taught students about the effects of pH on ocean water and interacted with the students in Spanish.

Our study led by recent PhD graduate Mike Mayer and titled Experimental characterization of heat transfer coefficients in a moving-bed shell-and-plate heat exchanger with non-contact temperature measurements was published in the International Journal of Heat and Mass Transfer.
