TREE lab has a few open positions for motivated graduate and undergraduate students. We engage in computational and experimental research to solve fundamental and applied problems in the areas of heat and mass transfer, optics, reaction kinetics and electrochemistry. To apply for these open positions please contact Prof. Bala Chandran with your (1) recent CV and (2) a concise list of your research experiences that explicitly states your individual contributions.
- Graduate: To be eligible for consideration you must first be admitted to the Mechanical Engineering graduate program at the University of Michigan. If you are currently a Master’s student in the ME department and interested in joining our group please come talk to us about independent research (ME 590) opportunities. Please note that if you are an interested candidate yet to be admitted to the graduate program, due to the large number of requests, a response is highly unlikely.
- Undergraduate: Currently we are only hiring U-M undergraduate students. Students that enjoy hands-on experimental work with backgrounds in mechanical, chemical, and aerospace engineering, materials science, physics, and chemistry are especially encouraged to apply.
