Mike traveled to the National Solar Thermal Test Facility (NSTTF) at Sandia National Labs in Albuquerque, NM for one week as part of a program that allows researchers to perform experiments at the NSTTF facilities. Mike’s experiments involved using optical techniques to measure heat transfer coefficients in a particle/sCO2 heat exchanger with operating temperatures up to 550 °C.
